Choosing an Interior Designer

Finding the right Interior Designer can be a challenge. You will want to know as much as possible about a designer's background, including education and experience. For instance, did you know that there are no laws governing who may be called an Interior Designer? There is proposed legislation in California which, if passed, will ensure that only qualified interior design professionals may call themselves Interior Designers. Until then, be sure you choose a designer with a degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school. Ask a designer if he or she is a member of ASID, IIDA or NKBA.
